Whom should I contact if I have an emergency?

An emergency is any situation that poses an immediate threat to the health, safety, or property of the homeowner. These include:

  • Active plumbing leak or flooding 
  • Gas leak or the smell of gas 
  • Total HVAC failure during extreme temperatures 
  • Total loss of electrical power (not due to utility outage) 
  • Fire or smoke damage 
  • Structural damage impairing occupancy 

Immediate Actions: 

If you smell gas or smoke, leave immediately and call 911. 

For other emergencies, contact the appropriate contractor directly using your community's emergency contact list.

If the listed service provider is unavailable, you may contact another emergency technician. If the issue is covered under the Limited Warranty, you will be reimbursed.*

Reimbursement Policy for Emergency Repairs 

If you must use an alternative contractor due to unavailability: 

  1. Confirm the issue is covered under the Limited Warranty. 
  2. Notify EYA Warranty Service Department as soon as possible. 
  3. Submit a copy of the invoice/receipt along with identifying information. 
 *Reimbursement will be issued for all covered charges.* 

 

Natural Disaster Damage 

Damage caused by storms or natural disasters is not covered under the builder's limited or extended warranty. 
 

Please contact your homeowner's insurance agent to file a claim for this type of damage.
